If you look very closely there should be a small tag on the connector that will need to be pushed back in line to allow the connector to back out of the plastic housing.
You will need a very fine but strong metal "pick" to push the tag back.
Hi...been having issues with abs...long story short here: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...-connects.html
Now, need to put the new abs sensor cable into the plug. Was just going to clip, and solder, and wish I now had! But, I tried to remove the connector from the plug following some advice from a jaycar dude. Im apparently ham fisted, have removed the wire, but connector is still in the multi pin plug. How do I get it out?

Hey....so, if I have the plug in my hand, and its the yellow one as per the post below, am i looking from the back of the plug, where the wires enter, or the front, where the male flat pins from the ecu enter?
I think you would be looking into the plug where it plugs into the ECU, not the back where the wires go.
If you look between the metal of the connector and the plastic of the housing you should hopefully be able to see what I am talking about.
I am assuming that the ECU plugs are the same as just about every other automotive electrical connector I have seen.
My father would NOT be proud....
being impatient, I clipped the whole plug off so I didnt have to contort myself. Having now got one out, it has tabs on both sides. Having a look at it, I would bet there is a $5 set of special tweezers which allow you to do this easily....
Often one just needs a piece of tubing that goes in and releases the locking clip(s).
I use pieces of old telescopic radio aerials. It is very thin walled brass tube. I use the ones out of old transistor radios, etc.
