    SVS For Landrover

    Matt

    Try this site.

LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 ABS SHUTTLE VALVE MODULATOR on eBay (end time 26-Jun-10 17:07:01 BST)

There is also one in the USA. Link is somewhere in AULRO, possibly in the good oil.

    Regards

So, if Im getting the following Nanocom reading

11-05 Shuttle Valve Switch Electrical Failure (Intermittent)

is my best course of action to purchase a shuttle valve kit and install it or is there something else I should look at first?

    Cheers,

Before making any decisions or spending any $ on sv kits have a good look at the Modulator Electrical Fault Repair item in The Good Oil.

Good Oil - SVS Related (3 Amigos)

    Matt

Look in here for a solution (as per Discolaw's suggestion). Option B is the favourite of most.

    Thanks guys.

Turned out it was a dirty plug on the rear sensor. hit it with some contact cleaner and away we go. ABS is back.

do you think I should do the Modulator electrical fix as a matter of cause or now that it is working should I just leave it alone?

Option B in the modulator fix deals with the common 3 amigoes problem where they appear intermittenly and can be cleared on restart. It is a wiring bypass of the fault and has worked for me. If the amigoes are on permanently it is more likely a sensor issue. Unless you are having the visiting amigoes problem you could leave things alone safe in the knowledge that an easy fix is there if needed.

The D2 "counts" the number of times the Amigoes show up,,,
after 258 (anyone?) the lights stay on regardless of reset.

Is this a bit worrying if Nanocom says shuttle valve fault and the culprit was the sensor?

No idea but I think there has been reference to this before. 258 is a odd number. Something to do with ecu memory counting capacity? In my case I put up with the problem for a fair while so should I go get a backlog of stored faults cleared?
