    No,it was on the D2.I had two d2's before the D2a,& the D2a has been a way better vehicle,mainly due to the lack of problems.It also appeared to be more refined than the D2's,but this could be individual vehicle characteristics.

    My D2a also has a plastic bung in the roof panel towards the rear of the vehicle,does anyone else have this,& what is it for?

    My 2a also has this. IIRC it was to facilitate the addition of an external radio antenna.

    FWIW, it looks to be a great place to put a GPS antenna...

    My 02 D2 has the plastic bung in the roof. Also has the sealed non greasable front shaft in it. Factory fitment.

    Factory GPS antenna goes where the rubber bung is in the rear roof

    ALL disco 2's have those, and thats why they fall apart and smash holes in the gearboxes when they let go !

    Now, now, not ALL smash gearboxes. My D2's dropped on the road whilst doing about 20kph, with the diff end thrashing around without smashing anything until I stopped dead, then crept off the road.

    RAVE isn't always correct and there's info missing about the D2a in some places.
