Thermo fan runs for ages after i switch off car?
Hey all i have a small problem which im not sur if i should be concerned about.
my 2001 Td5 auto has never ran hot and some reason the thermo fan will start and keep runing for ages after i have switched off the car and locked it i have checked the coolant and it all seems fine, any idea's guys?

The only time mine has done that was when the coolant level was low...
Cant help other then that..

Yes same here, before I fiited the engine saver I had low coolant due to a small leak on one of my hoses....
The fans staying on made me check it out and I came across the leak and low coolant...

thanks guys
yeah i have a small leak on the top hose and am in the process of replacing it it was at the bottom of the hose so i could not see it when i had a quick look and coolant was a bit down so thanks guys ifeel like a bit of a dolt Lol

The gauge wont tell you if its running hot. It'll only tell you once you've overheated it otherwise it stays in the central position. You'll probably find that you were running it hot. Is the entire radiator pack (4 of them) definately clear of mud.
