    Question Suspension Lift Query

I just got a 2" suspension lift on my D2(with sls) which was profesionally installed. The clearance on the rear wheel arches are 15 mm lower than the front wheel arches.
This looks a little odd to me.
Is this normal for the front wheel arches to have more clearance above the tyres than the rear wheel arches.

The reason is to know whether to get the rear airbag heights reset to an appropriate height with a nanocom or not.

The car is empty. I tried to move the brackets for the height sensors a little.
    It made no difference.
No complaints about how the suspension is working though, it just looks a little odd.

    Hi Jason,

    15mm difference sounds normal.

See the standard HTG measurements here:

Yeah its pretty standard. This said, over the next 12 months or so the front springs will settle a bit and level out the ride.

    Hi Jason,

I have an obviously stupid question , but as part of your 2" suspension lift did you also get spacers for under the rear air bags and the extension for the height sensors?

if you want it to sit level, find someone with a nanocom and get them to adjust the ''stored heights'' for the sls system, change the height stored by 10-20mm save and measure the outcome. after doing the springs and spacers in my HSE the front has now come down abit, so i now have to re do the rear sls heights. oh and make sure the spacer brackets for the sls sensor arms are in line with the arm.
give it a few weeks and see how it settles.

this is the process to change the stored heights with nanocom.
first go into disco abs sls go to settings, press read settings and note down the stored heights. (mine are at 153 both sides)
    this screen nanocom sls.doc
then go into disco abs sls, utility, press the start button for raise left. (it will inflate the bag 10mm at a time) repeat for right. then press the store button, you will be asked to turn the ignition off for 60sec. heights are stored.
    this screensls2.doc
re check in the disco abs sls settings screen at the new stored heights.

    cheers phil

Follow the hip-line of the vehicle and you will see that the front guards are higher openings and a more open design to the rear (so the wheels can turn and flex etc).

For a disco to be 'level' the back end is actually appearing lower..
To get equal spacing above front and rear tyres the vehicle will actually sit "nose down, bum up".

    15mm is about correct.

Thank you to everyone that has replied. It sounds like I was worried about nothing.
The handling on the road is great, just have to find some tracks now for a little further testing.
And yes the car has been lifted at both ends
