It might be a coinsidence,it's worth replacing the centering bush on the rear shaft at the rubber coupling end.

Disco 2a 03 Td5 Auto 180k - Centre diff or the transfer case, I can't quite remember now, had a lot of back lash so I had the mechanic put in new shims whilst an oil leak was being fixed. It changed the landy completely......If fixed the back lash, made everything feel nice and tight again.
As soon as I got the landy back it had a vibration @ about 100 but seemed to start building from just over 90. My first thought was that the shafts, if they had to be taken out, were not marked and then put in any which way.
Back to the mechanic who told me the front shaft unis were screwed in the double cardin. The weekend before I was under with a rubber mallet hitting everything under there including the shafts and I didn't notice any movement at all. I was told that rust was coming out of the unis so I asked them to keep the shaft for me and replaced it with a brand new OEM. My gut feel was that this was not the cause of this new vibration.
So my first question - can a uni be screwed despite the fact that it has good rotational movement and not a single bit of play in all joints? The slip shaft is perfect and smooth also. I suppose the unis can become dry inside but surely this will present itself in some way?
The second question is - Can there be anything else that was touched when the centre diff / TC shims were replaced, and put back in that would cause this vibration?
I am starting to think that the vibration was always there and the loose shims were absorbing all of it. When it was all tighten, the vibration made itself more noticeable through the tight drive train. Could this be the case?
I am also starting to think that the issue is more in the torque converter or flex plate and am going to call ZF today to organise an appointment for them to inspect.
Any insight in to this issue will be appreciated.

Thanks Fatman. I am going to take off the rear shaft this evening, lock up the centre diff and give it a go.
Here's hoping its that simple. I do think it is coming from the front. Did yours sound as if it was coming from anywhere other than where it was really coming from?
I'd put my money on the front double carden, I'd also have it done with greasable unis if you have it fixed.

Accel to vibration speed. Then go a little quicker and coast. Try to determine if it was vibrating while coasting
Just check the bolt in the middle of the handbrake drum and front output flange are tight. That'll also setup the vibrations. You can do this by grabbing the shaft and shaking to see if the drum or the front output flange shakes around.
