On the top of the steering box !
losen the Bolt i think its a 14mm bolt then adjust it with the allan key on the top of the screw/adjuster, its very touchy so 1/4 turns is more than enough at a time...
I have a quite bad play on the steering wheel. The car go crazy when passing mud yesterday and also when braking in high speed.
Could it be the power steering box need adjustment?
I read on RAVE on how to adjust to eliminate this play.
"1. Loosen lock nut on steering box adjuster and
tighten adjuster until movement is removed at
universal joint."
Where is the adjuster on the steering box? is it a screw or bolt type adjuster?

I would say 1/8 turn. Have the steering unlocked and rock the column back and forth with your hand as you adjust, while looking down at the idler arm to make sure that it is still.
Then when finished,( or hopefully finished) jack up the front axle and make sure there are no hard spots while turning the steering wheel lock to lock with the engine off.
You will probably find as everyone else does that it is now over adjusted , so back off a bit to get the best compromise.
Just remember that this adjuster pushes the sector shaft down so do not be heavy handed.

Thanks guys. I will try tonite.
While it may be the steering box, this is relatively unlikely. It can be free play anywhere in the steering box or front or rear suspension linkages. Most likely are the tie rod ends and the bushes at the ends of the panhard rod.
Get someone to move the steering wheel from side to side and look for where the free play is.
One (very dangerous) possibility is the pitman arm loose on the steering box shaft. This will be immediately apparent with the above check.
