Thanks and trying to download now. So last night I went with the wife to do the tests, hooked the battery back up, brake lights on. Pressed brake, lights on, she said they did not get any brighter. Then unclipped fuse box and went to get torch from garage, came back and the lights had gone off. Had a thought overnight, the trailer brake unit is attached to the fascia panel under the steering wheel by the left hand clip, ie where my left knee is. Could it be something to do with the wiring to the brake unit ? Possibly something I could be knocking to trip ? Please please please......
How is the trailer brake unit wired in is it soldered or crimped or does it have those god awful scotch locks. If it is scotch locks I would change it immediately as they can give you all sorts of trouble
