    Job's Done!

I did the final install of my CDL lever today.

Here are some pictures of the final product.

It works very well! No more crawling under the car for me

The final cost? Well materials came to around $100 but I have plenty of steel left over (I always buy much more than I need for future projects)
Cost of labour ... well let's just say that prototypes always take a long time to built ...

Just noticed that you made the same little tabs as me to fit over the tunnel cover, so you can use tex screw instead of pop rivets...good idea.

They were actually already done when I got the car! Made the job easier.

Tel us the price son. (if you're interested in doing others) on a supply and modify own parts basis rather than you have to buy stuff for others.

Only ask as my box is out at the moment and I'll be away for a month.

I'll have to do a bit of research to work out a price:
    • I'd like to have a cable custom made as the one I used came out of a wrecked Hyundai and I'm not really keen on spending time crawling through wrecks.
    • I also want to investigate having the parts pre-cut to hopefully minimise my time (and cost to you).
    • I might see if I can acquire a few standard levers and then do them on an exchange basis.

I also want to give mine a bit of use to ensure it's durability. I'm not keen on charging for something before I have 100% confidence in it.

I have a standard lever that was left over from when I did my conversion, you can have it if you want and it helps get this project up and running.

    Cheers Baz.
