I cleared Beefys 3 amigoes the other day, quite a number of faults,2 seperate Shuttle Valve faults.
The ABS light alone stayed on,but did go out after a few days.
I would find a BIG hill, bitumen road is OK,engage low range and use hill descent control. It "excersicises" the shuttle valves.Do this a few times then try clearing the faults.
The lights wont go out, once the ECU registers the fault 254 times the ligts stay on till they are cleared.
Look in the electronic diagnostics area, there is a list of members with Nanocoms etc that are willing to help out.
    GOODLUCK

in order of ease of fixes--

    reset amigos(ctrl alt delete)
test book sensors(no testbook? do a physical check)
    powerbleed brakes(exercise shuttles)
    change brake pads
    rewire abs mod

AFTER all these if the system still has visitors then think about serious $$$.
    but thats relatively rare.

I have a similar problem with my 03 auto. They come on, turn the car off/on and they might not come back on for a day or two and then they will come on when I start the car sometimes or after 30 seconds of driving. Plugged in the nanocom and it has no faults. What I did notice though is after the last trip(using hill decent and traction control use), it took about a week before it started playing up again. So does this mean its more than likely the shuttle valve?

    no.

it means the stupid internal wabco switch is at fault.

by all means exercise the shuttles,,

but it'll be that switch 99,999 out of 100,000 times,,
