What's in your D2 tool kit/spares kit?
Hi All
Thought I'd post up this thread for everyone to share what they have in their kit. This way we can all get a few ideas, on what might be needed for that road side repair. Also if anyone could think of what size bolts are in any particular area of the D2, post them up too, some of us might just remember it next time in the shed and save ourselves a bit of trouble
Suspension:
Most suspension components are 18mm such as trailing arm bolts, top shock bolts and some others that I've forgotten
So share away!!!
Here's my tool and spares kit:
Tools
10-32mm Socket Set
8-19mm Spanner set
Some screwdrivers
Pliers and long nose Pliers
Spares:
Spare ECU
MAF
Coolant Hoses
CV's
Axles
A spare shock on long trips
Gasket sealant
100mph tape
Coolant
engine oil
On the list to get:
Nanocom (impossible to find one atm)
spare fuel pump
Crank angle position sensor
etc etc.

Gday Hendrick,
I always carry in the car,
Top hose,
spare main belt,
fuel filter,
can of contact cleaner,
10,13,15,18mm spanners and set of screwdrivers and pliers.
I have for trips away,
Full set of hoses, spare hoseclamps to suit
Crank angle senser,
Alternater,
fuelpump,
waterpump,
8,10 & 12mm fuel hose
Full set of filters, aircleaner, and oils and fluids,
Nanocom.
Socket set and spare socket (27mm I think it is) and breaker bar as spare wheel nut tool
If we do remote travel then add spare wheelnuts, driveshaft nuts&bolts
gasket sealent and paper, 100mph tape, various nuts and bolts,HF radio, and Sat Phone, set of shocks if the trip calls for it, like our recent CSR trip.
The fuelhose came in handy on our CSR trip, as 1 Disco had a leak on the return lines to the fuel pump, we dropped the fuel tank out and sleaved the 2 plastic lines that had rubbed thru with the 10 or 12mm ( cant remember which 1) rubber fuel hose and some small hose clamps, it was enough to stop the leaks till a more detailed job could be done.
I am sure there are some things i've forgotten but thats most of it.
Cheers Ean
