so i got the truck back now, i flew to adalaide to pick it up and drive it back , first thing i noticed was that when you drive you can feel the transmition bob up and down i was used to the auto how it just stays stedy when you rest on it, its kind of cool because its more like driving a truck.

second the fuel milage was better i was getting 14.3 l per 100 in the auto and now im around 13.2 over the 1400 km i drove. ( higher than normal with the tyres i have on it )

dollars wize i hit 21 cents per km all the time and now its down to 17 cents per km. on the highway. for all the number cruchers. must be the extra gear.

gearing wize it sits on 2500 at 110 kmh

im not 100 percent settled into it yet as i have been having a clutch issue it is not shifting in and out of gears as smooth as it could, i have talked to the guys at trimph rover and they are working with me to get it sorted out. i think it is ither a bleading issue or perhaps a clutch master cylinder

i sopose the other thing that was not totaly flattering was that the new consol around the gear leaver was scratched up maby by the preveous owners dog ? i thought that mine was nicer than that so it was a bit of an eye sore to see but i can look past that because im happy with the way the gear box was quiet and the gears feel tight. over all so far im happy i did it and i think i got good value for money. altho i have removed and installed gear boxes before looking at my bill for a mear 1500 in labor there is somthing nice about having the job done when you pick it up. and not having to pick up an intire gear box wile some one fumbles around to try to get the first bolt in.
