    Hidden winch mount

    Anyone has installed DAP discrete winch mount? Is it hard to install? Can i get it here?

    Saw the installation write up on muddyoval website. Looks like its not that hard but i thought i ask some one here if he has installed one

    Hidden winch mount

    Gidday Dearot,

    Not sure what a DAP winch is but I recently installed a 9,000kg TMax winch to my ARB winch bullbar on my Disco2. Saved over $300 in installation costs, but had to do a few mods. It looks the goods and works a treat.

    I would suggest if you expect to do water crossings don't fit a decrete mount. They alter water flow under the vehicle and have caused fans to hit radiators.

    The zip file has some good info in it.
    The mount was obtained from Troutbeck in VIC, not sure if they still sell them.

    In the thread, there is also a link to Urban Panzer's UK site where he has a good discrete winch.
