Thread: 2001 TD5 Auto

Rather than hijack the other CDL thread - I thought I'd ask this question on a separate post.........

My good mate and I both have TD5's. Mine a manual 02 model that doesn't have a CDL and I have now, with the assistance from you all, just about rectified this problem.

However, my mate has a 01 auto TD5 and after seeing the CDL thread - we both climbed underneath his TD5 and for the life of us...couldn't see where the CDL lever is (was)

Questions....Does the 01 model have CDL fitted and just need the actuator rod/link/lever fitted??

Or similar to my 02 model, will he need to have an earlier or later output housing fitted as well as lever etc??

Is there an identification number available on the T-Case that will explain if his model has the elusive CDL fitted??

It's a real pain And I'm sure we are not alone in wondering why LR ever though fit to remove it from a select few models

Found mine for the money I wanted to pay. It had a towbar and had lived all its life on the North Shore in Sydney. Fortunately for me (as I have found out later) is that is a 200 model and hence only needed the CDL linkage that I put in on 1 Aug.
