    Maxxis AT751/MT-753

I was recommended Maxxis tyres by a friend, and they look pretty good. 10 ply (120)load range, with the 245/75R16's having a triple shield 3 ply sidewall.

Looked at 751 AT (75% on 25% off road)

753 MT (50% on road 50% off road.)

Anyone running these and like to comment on noise, ride, wear, driving in diff conditions?

    Cheers

    Paul

I have had Maxxis 751 on the Defender for a couple of years now and believe they represent very good value for money. Before I bought them, I asked anyone I saw with them for their opinion. One person I spoke to had fitted them to his vehicle while he was up in the Kimberley and he was very pleased with them.
They are quiet, although some people would suggest that if I am driving a Defender, I probably couldn't tell.
Wear seems good and they seem to perform as well as most AT tyres off road, including mud.

I think they are a good tyre.

I too have the AT 751 Bravo's. I too have then in 245/75/16 on my D2. I love them. My brother is a dealer in capalaba Qld for them. They have a very good following in the serious off road side of their range too.

I had the originals - XPC for 80,000k then Pirelli Scorpion ATs and now these and these are the best of the lot. As you say in the LT (which is what I have) they have a very impressive load rating and 3 ply. They are great for towing. My Pirelli passenger rated were poor when towing my 2 tonn boat. These are excellent and do not squirm at all.

They are solid off road and very good in the sand, including towin 1.5 tonn in the sand.

    Cheers
