TC and ABS light come on when I turn right!

Had it with this stupid 3 amigoes, everytime I make a right hand turn the ABS pump goes crazy and those darn lights come on. I am going to pull the ABS fuse and blank off the dash lights. Think I will go the dual locker route, 3 Amigos can kizzmaazzzzz!

Clear case of amigo rage. While waiting for someone more expert on here to come along, have a beer and settle down before thinking of spending $$$$ on lockers to "fix/hide" the amigo problem. If you haven't already you should read all the good oil stuff on the amigoes. There are answers, some quite simple, to this problem which most D2s will experience sooner or later. Fixed my issues with the wiring bypass option B. Hopefully you are feeling better already.

Makes the car illegal for rego, voids your insurance and liable for a prang, though SA may not care about those things...... and will take more time to do than just fix it.

This topic has been done so many times.... you will find all the right info and probably a helper or 3 to do the job.
    Go to the good oil.

    Cheers

    Hi All,
Have just re-purchased a Disco 2 , after having an near new one 6 years ago, and a 3 since. How,ever, never used them because they were too expensive, hence have back purchased so I can do the scratch paint thing.
Any way...This 3 Amigos thing...must be Kama, was reading this...went out to go somewhre, and there you go...3 lights.
I'm sure there are threads here, but...what does it mean and is it fatal?
...they reset when I shut down and restated.

BTW I have just ordered one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....d=654211051012

Yes its terribly good. Having towed 2 tonns through very soft sand with just traction control and not CDL (only have fitted CDL recently which is better than just ETC) it works bloody well...when the the system is properly bled and the accelerator is used properly.

    Cheers

Mate I just cant agree with that last bit. True that front AND rear lockers locked in and CDL locked up and in a straight line is better than traction control and Centre Diff locked up, but there isnt much in it - the CDL with traction control is a great set up and its free, and does not compromise turning.

    Cheers

Your not driving it properly, in mud TC is brilliant, sand not so much because momentum is the key, but still very good.

If your driving in mud or sand with your foot buried to the floor and you expect the TC to work, then it won't happen, as the TC don't work on a D2 over a certain RPM, as ozscott as stated, use the throttle properly and it works brilliantly.

I'd be looking for what the problem is, it is more than likely a wheel sensor problem, get it checked for faults, then go from there, in the meantime I'd take some contact cleaner and clean all the sensor plugs with it, then look at the sensor in the hub and check it's seated properly, take it out have a look for damage or dirt and grit, clean it with a clean rag and smear some grease on it and reinstall them.

Check your brake pads aren't low, the 3 amigoes can appear when they are low.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.
