Just got our D2 off the truck

We got our new rig yesterday after waiting two long weeks for her to come up on the truck from NSW. 04 D2a Classic, 18 inch wheels, Epsom green, 7 seater (leather) with remapped ECU

It is a bit scary buying a car over the internet I can tell you and I was a bit nervous of what I would find at the truck yard when I went to pick her up. My first impression was that it looked great, few more stone chips etc than I was expecting and the leather was a bit more worn than the photos but all up very happy. I jumped in and had my first drive of a disco which was very different to what I was expecting. This thing’s a truck with leather seats (as apposed to a camry with 4x4)

    I love it

Took the wife and kids for a drive straight after work, wife is impressed but has been dubious of me during this whole process. First thing we did was drive it through a car wash to wash off all the dust. When the jets came around to the front passenger door water streamed out the top of the door and soaked the wife. “Great, you bought a car that leaks like a sieve”

Only when it rains sideways dear. (I hope)

    Congrats on the purchase.

Just don't let any of the three guys from Top Gear put the vehicle through a car wash.

Not sure if you've seen that episode where they got the Stig to go through the carwash and he came out the other side with the whole interior of the car flooded with water....

Its ok, it only leaks when it is raining.

I just fitted some roof rail extensions on mine and left the trim off to check if the holes where leaking.

Well the holes I made dont leak, but on the highway rain water is forced through the top of the rear passenger door and comes in behind the trim.

It has probably been like that for a long time, just didnt notice with the trim covering it.

Water in, Oil and Coolant out....

Aaahhhh - Epsom Green - a man after my own heart.

Bought both my Landies off Trading Post but had them inspected before I did anything about paying for them.

Be good to see some pics of it sometime.
    Cheers, Dale

Congratulations for making a brave purchase. I've been tempted but doubt I'd ever risk buying without inspecting/driving.

    Yes, pics please!

No need for an inspection.....its a Land Rover!

Therefore, its safe to assume, it needs:

MAF, MAP, shuttle valve....shall I go on
