Thread: Discovery 2 pinion seal is it the same as a P38`s?

I have a small leak on front diff pinion seal.
Is it the same as the P38`s?
I am having trouble finding a part #
Is it the same drama that i read of as the rear seal replacement?

Just changed the front pinnion seal on my D2 recently.
Here are the details as on the invoice from Roverparts Plus in Ballarat.

Part Number.. FTC5258 A
Description.... Oil Seal, Diff Pinnion-L/R Discovery & R/Rover ('95-'02).

Single bolt holds the flange to the pinnion after you remove the tail shaft flange.
