Here are some looking the other way, took them with with my phone and into the setting sun, so not too good. Mine has rear air conditioning, so the left rear seat sticks out a bit when folded up, I didn't know why until reading it on this thread.

Some more. I never noticed there is a child restraint attachment between the headrest mounts, it has been used too. I have never used them, my little ones are too big, the oldest one is even learning to drive. I just snapped the lever on the side, damn.

problem locking 3rd row seat into floor

    Hi All,
Just wanted to post a quick update and to ask some questions...

All in all, installation went well and I think hubby lost some kg's working in the back of LP on that 40 odd degree day over the weekend (while I was recovering in hospital w/ the birth of #4 )!!

One of the seats has gone in that our 3.5 year old now resides on and she absolutely LOVES being in the back!

There was a problem with the seat not locking into position on the floor once opened which I am hopeful some folk may be able to help with:

    1. Hubby found it impossible to unfold the seat until it was locked into position on the floor ... but .... he couldn't do this until he had removed the plastic covering on the floor. He had even sat on the seat and tried to use his weight to lock it down but to no avail.

    a. is this a common problem?

... has anyone got any tips on how to get it locked down or why it may be doing this? The other thought he had was to 'shave' a few mm off the bottom of the plastic cover where the metal bit (yes technical term) sits... do you think that would work?

As for additional anchor points, he decided to utilise the metal ring on the floor located in the corner - which IMO works a treat so no need to drill additional holes anywhere (pic attached for that one) - may be a handy tip for some others considering where to put anchor points for seats as they really do work fine :-)...

(he's still got the second seat, head rests, rear step to go...)

1st pic - utilising metal ring as anchor point
2nd pic - plastic cover removed from base of floor that I am on about

    Thanks for your help....

    Cheers,

    Lp

Hey LP. Congrats on number 4 and on the new seats! Can't offer much advice on their stubbornness though.

Can't tell you why, but yes, the seat back will not fold up until the squab is folded out AND locked into the floor.

That's the same as my D2a.

Congratulations LP on the birth of your most recent bundle of joy.

The unlocking problem might be alignment, maybe a bit of loosening and retightening bolts until it works, or maybe a Dremel.

Still unable to lock seats down with plastic cover

    Hi All,
I hope you are well :-)

Well - a bit of an update... and hopefully some folk may have some other suggestions ??

We followed fatmans suggestion as per the link that was posted, however... that didn't solve the problem.

The problem seems to be with the plastic cover that is screwed into the cargo floor that the seats lock into as apposed to the locking mechanism - I think?!.

If we don't have the plastic cover screwed into the floor, then the seats lock into position fine.

If we put in the plastic cover then the seats locking pin seems to be about 5mm short of engaging the metal bar to lock down. (This is still after having lubricated the locking mechanisms as per fatmans doc link)...

Falling short of shaving about 5mm of the underside of the cover off so it sits lower.... has anyone got any other suggestions before we go down that path?

    Appreciate the help...

    Thanks Lp
