    DPChip install instructions?

Have removed a DPChip (F109T DP37 T2A) from my 01 TD5 Disco 2 with a view to selling it. When I purchased the Disco the chip was already installed and I was NOT given the installation documentation.
Wondering if anyone can supply me a copy of this info to help me with the sale ... also, I am interested to establish whether the unit was installed correctly in the first place? ... doesn't look right to me
DP will not provide me with this info unless I pay them another $170+ odd to have them check the unit and reprogram if necessary. Say this is done for my benefit!! ...yeah right

    TIA .... Dave

    Hello rapserv,

The DP chip is made out of the same factory in Germany as the DTUK chip from England(exactly the same, just a different packaging).
Google DTUK and check out their website. You might get some help there.

    Cheers,

    Jason

dave, you selling the car or the dp, i assume the car,
the DP is piggy backed via white connectors to the five yellow injector wires off the red ECU connector, other than pos to bat and neg to earth,

you know if its working properly by adjusting it to 9, drive it for couple days, then switch it to 0 and drive it, you should notice a huge drivability drop, i cant go back to 0 now cause the motor std drives me insane, I just leave it on 9, BTW Mode button in sport makes big diff around town, but kicks down too much on the hwy

Wouldn't sell the Disco ... only the chip.... very happy with Disco
Had the ecu remapped a couple of months back (specifically for towing) and as a consequence, removed the DPChip with a view to selling it (chip that is).
On removal, I noticed that the interface wires from the chip were spliced into the ecu connector in a parallel fashion ... ie. not wired from the ecu into the chip and then to the injectors etc. I would have thought that signals would have been sent from the ecu to the chip where they would be slightly modified before being sent to the injectors... the wiring method (in parallel) has the ecu sending data to the injectors and the DPChip at the same time.... does not seem quite right to me.. therefore my attempting to get a copy of the installation instructions to check the original installation and at the same time helping me to on-sell the DPChip and make it easier for the prospective buyer to re-install.
