    Roverracks for a D2

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know if there is an Australian distributor for these guys?

DISCOVERY II VOYAGER ROOF RACKS made in the USA- Factory Direct Accessories for your Land Rover

I've had a bit of alook around, but couldn't find anything. At this point I'm looking to buy 2. I've shot an email to the company, but haven't heard back at this point.

I quite like the look of these things

they do look nice, interested to know the price but suspect shipping would be a killer. they come up on ebay occasionally but attract good prices.

Don't do anything yet. I have convinced a mate of mine to design a similar one. Hope to have it completed this weekend & shall post pics.

Importing would have cost me over a K in freight alone

    Bump

I still haven't heard back from the company. Apparently my money isn't good enough....oh well.....

So Castle Landy......any advancement at your end?

EDIT - got an email from them today - reckon they didn't get my first one.

Rack freight is about $350 per rack to Aus......good? bad?

Delay with the powdercoating, called me today to say it was ready. Expect to pick on Thursday. Notwithstanding $350 freight is cheap. Is that shipping for one rack or spread over a couple?

It was $350 per rack. I'm looking at bringing two in.

If I brought in 5....I would get 20% off from the manufacturer....but it doesn't seem feasible as I have no outlet to sell them through.

I'm looking forward to seeing this rack Castle Landy.

I hadn't envisaged duty etc getting that high Aaron.....makes you think whether it's all worth it.
