    NORMAL....

Nothing to do with the switch or batteries or the alignment of the moon in the night sky...
But mine only also does it, occasionally, when I haven't dropped the bonnet, only presses it shut.

You might find that it depends on whether you have used the ignition or not.

If you open the bonnet and do not turn the ignition the horn will sound when you lock the car.

If you open the bonnet but start the car or at least turn the two clicks of the key the horn will not sound when you lock the car.

This is after you have closed the bonet.

At least that is what happens with mine.

Well, mine does none of this !

ONLY time the horns go off is if the alarm is triggered.

IF after driving the vehicle etc, you shut the drivers door and prss the remote and it beeps once, this is a mislock tone telling you something is open. I have seen bonnet switches faulty before causing this.

If you have opened and closed the bonnet, then pressed the remote with all the other doors shut, it should be silent, if not, the bonnet switch is faulty as the BCM thinks the bonnet is still open.

I have tested this theory lately using Rovacom, the bonnet switch showed the bonnet was open when it wasn't. It was full of water
