Coolant Leak
Hi All,
I am new to the site and just bought a 2001 Discovery V8 Manual. I love it but it has a small (hopefully?) problem. Coolant is leaking from a small hole on the fan pulley housing (drivers side towards the bottom). Sorry no photos because it's too difficult to see. The hole doesn't seem to be corrosion as it is perfectly round and the coolant only leaks when the engine is warm. It stops after being parked for a while. Can someone please help me out with what the problem may be? I have a second car for use at the moment but a quick fix is required so I can sell the other car.
Thanks, Nath

Hi that's the water pump, you need a new one. Not that hard to do, just get a fan spanner to undo your fan coupling before you start.

On the money
Bee utey is on the money.
Little weep hole at the bottom of the pump which indicates the seal is knackered.

Andrew
