Does locking with the key not activate the alarm?

It's not the remote as it's infrared and the alarm is RF.
Some remotes are bluetooth these days like a PS3 for example, but no chance of it interfering.

I had my daughters cat set it off last week. Grabbed my baseball bat by the front door and raced outside to find the cat leaping out thru the window looking particularly frazzled!!

The sensors are uber sensitive. They're designed to pickup the pressure wave generated by breaking glass. A moth fluttering near the sensor will definitely set it off.

    Cheers

Locking the car with the key in the door will fix it until you buy a can of bug spray.

But I believe the real problem is that the remote for the DVD is actually switching on the moth which wakes up and flaps its wings in front of the volumetric sensors. Take the DVD remote back to Dick Smith and ask them to re-set the the Remotes "moth on" function to "off". That will fix it.

Locking with the key only disables the volumetric sensors.
Alarm still works on the 5 doors and bonnet

Also sounds if you lock with fob and leave the dogs in there
    Cheers, Kyle

Has anyone had a similar thing happen cause thats weird.
    Thanks Steve
