    D2 locking question

As I continually get flat batteries due to lack of using my D2 I resorted to trying leaving it UNLOCKED to see if it still goes flat.
Almost 2 weeks and it starts no problem.Lucky to get a week if plip locked.
If you keylock a D2 instead of plip locking do they use the same power whilst "resting"????

I might be wrong, but i think if you key lock them rather than plip lock them then the intrusion alarm is not activated.

    CORRECT!
Anytime we need to leave our dog in the car, we key lock it. Otherwise the alarm goes off as soon as she moves.

I think your battery sounds a bit suss . I leave mine "super locked"for a month at a time regularly, and have no isues with battery power. It starts easy .

Key-locking disables the movement sensor but keeps the door sensors enabled. However you must unlock it with the remote and not the key otherwise the alarm will sound.

    Batteries are GOOD.
Its an issue with the electronics not going to sleep and using power up.
Was removing the ACE relay with good results(stopped that clicking under the fusebox many D2s have)
Will be fitting a front Anderson connection for charging purposes whilst camping, simple solution will be to include a battery isolator switch as part of the mod.
