Thanks twodoors.
I will give it a go this evening hopefully...
It is possible to get inside the armrest as such.... Bit fiddly.... just get yourself a couple of butter knives and gently lever the outer surround off which then gets you to the retention lugs which you can depress and then pull the whole drinky tray tray bit thing out....
Its not overly challenging.... or maybe i'm just used to doing it!!!!
I have narrowed it down to either the kids or the dog!!! No one will take the rap....
Have a spot of patience for re assembly as its a pain to get the lever spring thing just in the right place... recline the armrest to about 45 degrees... long nose pliers and a good torch....

Thanks twodoors.
I will give it a go this evening hopefully...
I have the same problem, kids left it out. Next trip the dog jumped in and sorta landed on it. Now it doesnt go all the way in.
I had managed to extarct the whole unit. But have not yet worked out the locking mechanism and how it works. It is very annoying though.
I've been keeping my eyes out for one on ebay.
My 11 year old tells me to remove the cup holder simply pull and wiggle it side to side
Thanks GF will also give that a go when I get a moment
Removal of the rear D2 Drinks holder.
First remove the facia
This is simply done by prising it off. The facia is retained at each end by a plastic lug as shown below.
Next remove the whole cassette again by prising this out.
There is a metal retaining clip at each side as per the pic below
To remove the drinks holder from the cassette, open it in the correct way up position and then gently lever out the plastic retaining lug to get it most of the way out.
Finally lift the end to allow the yellow plastic gear wheel past the opening. Be careful not to turn the holder upside down or the spring will fall out

What can I say...
Within 15 mins of me seeing this post from Erich, the drinks holder was out of the car, on my desk, spring put back where it had popped out of, and holder back in the car.
Thanks Erich & to all others that offered suggestions.
Where is the fabled second row drink holder. Is that something my pov pack 02 missed out on? Looks like it would fit in the fold down centre arm rest. Oh well I suppose having 3 kids in the back would make it useless for me anyway. Cheers
Cheers, Dale
