    amigos

Changed the front hub and speed sensor on my d2, the amigo's went away...but...every once in a while they return. If I turn the vehicle off and restart they clear except for the ABS light which clears after a short drive???? What is it now???

This was my expierience with the Amigo's, wether its car specific im not sure, but this is what I found..

I have had no problems with the amigo's only every now and then thay would show, maybe every 1 or 2 times since the car was new, then on the Canning trip this year they showed and have showed acouple of times over the past 6 mnths.
Last tuesday they showed so I cleared them and they showed again 2 days later, then they showed daily, then about 3 times on friday, and I tried to run the Hill Decent and I couldn't get 20 mtrs before the amigo's appeared.
On saturday they showed whilst driving without even putting my foot on the brake peddle, so i removed the 2 front wheels and scrubbed both the inside and outside of the rim.
I haven't had them appear since and I have gone down a hill several times to get the hill decent working the ABS system.

I have now done all the brake pads and still no Amigo's, so wether the build up of brake dust on the rim both inside and out has anything to do with setting them off im not sure. But it certainly seems to be the case with my car..

    Hope this helps..

    Cheers Ean

From what I have learnt messing with Nannocom.
The faults build up until a magic figure of 254 faults,at which time the fault is considered permanent and will not go away with a key out re-start.At which time Nanocom or factory diagnostic gear is needed to reset the fault.

    Correct andrew,

And that is what mine was reading 254 times intermittent elct fault. and it was reading that 3 times a day in the end before I scrubbed the rims.

3 days now and not a fault registered..

I had it happen to me a few times but each time it automatically reset itself.
Washing it one day I really hosed out the brakes and it didnt give me any grief until the next day after a WA AULROian run up the beach, while i was turning right which is how it went off a few days before the run, now it won't go off plus I have the park brake warning light come on with it making it the 3 Amigos plus Dirty Sanchez!!

As I am still Nanocomless it's beginning to annoy me....

option B will fix all those,,,

you'll never have to hose your brakes or clean your rims again

I once prided myself that my rims were always brake dust free
Im not a brakes man, never had to clean them.
Since upping the power to well over V8 specs I constantly have dirty rims,BLOODY TRACTION CONTROL

I'm on call for the next two weeks so I can't get away anywhere but if your up this way I'm only in Alexander Heights. Will put a few home-brews in the fridge!
As there's no local Nanocom 1's available and it's getting hard to get hold of whatshisface.... to order an Evolution, I contemplated a Hawkeye as I can also get the lead to hook into the Classic too but it doesn't have the additional features I wanted for the Disco....
So I am still in a quandary.... :/

Pedro, mine is a sensor issue not modulator issue. Option B won't do a thing to fix it.

    Cheers

    Andrew
