Dont run a metal pad! Or EBC their new compound is rubbish!
I second that. I am running EBC 6000 green and they are rubbish.they are nearly half worn after 15,000km as well.

I am about to change over to Bendix 4x4. Anyone know if there is a problem going from kevlar to standard pads? I know you can't go to a kevar pad without machining the rotors.

    any thoughts?

Mate, what rotors are you running these with.... Seems strange you should be so low on pad already.... running the same pad myself on slotted and cross drilled and done over 32K on them.. offroad, highway driving, town driving and regularly towing heavy loads downhill...

And yet I've got near new pads... Run the same combo on other LR stuff and been so happy thus did the same again with the new car...

Hey mate how strange... Checked my receipt/web again and we are running the same set up missed a 4 on the rotors... Can't believe they have given such differing results... My EBC pads came from the UK and wonder if they have changed/ or use differing composition / materials here.. (As I assume you bought the pads here).

Wonder if your pads weren't cooked correctly... Have you spoken to the dealer as something just doesn't sound right... Been running EBC stuff for best part of 15 years on a mixed bunch of fast road / heavy use applications and had blinding results...

I know its horses for courses BUT we are running the same rig... and i'm guessing your brakes aren't staying on when you're driving!!!

    hi james

I had all 4 callipers reco and new booster and longer braided lines when i did the rotors and pads.

I should take the out and measure them. I carefully followed the bedding in process. mine are the new 6000 series pads.

    cheers
