Amigos - "Option B" Problem
Afternoon all,
Just completed "Option B" on the Disco and had one little(?) issue. when undoing the allen bolts that hold the shuttle valve on, they were very tight.
The first two came undone eventually, but while undoing the third (one of the end ones) it snapped.
All back together now, but shuttle valve is now only held on with two allen bolts, one side and the centre one.
Should I attempet to get the broken one out and replace, (pain because it means removing the whole ABS unit), or leave it as is.
It seams solid enough and every thing operates correctly.
As a side note, took just under three hours all up, two hours to work out what I was doing and to get the shuttle valve out, 25 minutes for soldering, joining etc, 15 minutes to put it ll back together. If I had to do it again, I think it would take less than an hour.
What i also did, (which I think is a good tip for anyone else doing this) is have my laptop sitting next to me for the duration with the instructions, made it really eay to reference where I was at exactly, great to scroll up and down, rather than leafing through sheets of paper trying to check something.
Thanks

Bad luck that. When I did mine one bolt was really tight as well (on the right side?) and I was concerned I'd strip the tread, but I was lucky, worked it in and out as I undid it. The loctite they put on seems to bite well. Those switches take very little effort to click so unless the plastic on the base fatigues and breaks, I cant see a problem.

Yeah, I think I'll leave it be for now. As I said, all seems fairly solid.
