I'm assuming this is for the petrol. Are the front springs thicker for the Td5? Do you need brake line extensions or longer ABS sensors?

    Waz

    Edit - Oh! And welcome!

3 lift with terrafirma springs - i don't think so..
I installed such a kit,i gain exactly 2" front and 2" rear usind Disco 1 spring perches(which raises the rear a little bit) when i removed the rear airbags.
Rear springs are not D2 specific, just D1 ones so you must take the spring perche height difference into account.
Longer brake lines are needed if you install longer shocks(highly recommended),but you can unclip sensor wires and brake lines from original mounts and you'll be ok BUT you must install spacers under the front crossmember or the front driveshaft will foul the crossmember on full extension.
The +2" longer terrafirma shocks, use all the travel on the front side, whereas the rears don't come to full extension due to suspension bind-design of the D2.

    PS
You don't have to take shosk towers out,it's much more difficult that way,i just tie the shocks in full closed position,i put them in place, put the springs on and then release them..

This is on a petrol v8 and i think the springs are the same for the td5. We do recommend changing the lines but if you unclip them it will be OK.

100% yes. Terrafirrma made these 3in kits for us. look at the video and the true 33in tire not a tire that says its 33 and when you put it on the truck it is a 31.5.

We have full travel in the rear and need cones.

This will work but on 3in and up kits it is hard to get the spring in and fight with the shock. so taking the 4 extra bolts out makes life a lot nicer.
    thank you for your feedback

I do not understand how do you install kits +3" without caster correctors, and it seems, without final problems. In my case, with only +2" I have experienced death woobling on hard left turns at 80 km/h on road, vague steering, and misplacement to the right on full breakage on road After some money spent without positive results, I have finally give to another direction, with only 30,5" that not require any lift to works good.

A year ago, my project was 32" wheels (235/75/16) with +2". After all that problems, now is HD springs standard with 30,5" (245/75/16). The drive of the car is absolutely pleasant, with no collateral problems at breakage o on hard turns on road, but ... it's not the project that I have on mind.

    G'Day Justin,

Great vid - thanks for sharing.

With the 3" Terra Firma lift - could you tell me the compressed spring length front & rear?

    Cheers,

    Franz
