D2 V8 brake servo and vacuum pressure
I have been advised the brake vacuum pressure should be 17 in of Hg
At the moment I am only pulling 14 - 15
Master cylinder has been changed and the brakes have had a abs pump bleed
Any advice please
thanks

Hi there,
where did you measure vacuum? At the inlet manifold by pulling out the servo hose? My reading was 15 as well. However, the value of 17 is for 0m above the sea level, and for every 1000 feet you have to add 1 in-Hg. Hope that after the correction you will be happy :-)
BTW did you try to measure the inlet manifold vacuum when the throttle is suddenly opened and closed? What are your readings?
Regards
Jiri

Servo vacuum
Dear Jiri J
thanks for your reply
we are 13 - 61 m above sea level
No I haven't measured the inlet manifold pressure yet
The big question for me is what are you brakes like with the pressure @ 15, cos mine are crap
and if yours were bad, what did you do to fix
thanks
