I've replaced alot of mine already with I guess you'd call it fuel line hose. No leaks thus far. The plastic set crap is hopeless 10 years on but is to be expected with the heat under the hood![]()
hey guys
just before chrissy the disco was getting a little hot under the collar. had a mechanic mate come have a look and found it was the little thingy ma jig on the throttle body (de icer i think). anyway undid it and resealed it. all good until this week.
instead of doing just a reseal i decided to do a flush and check the thermostat. NOTE get normal clamps for hoses what the hell where they thinking putting on those stupid things
anyway after a bit of cussing and thinking i needed a striaght jacket i drained the radiator and checked out the thermo. all looked ok so refilled and started on the throttle body bit. all going well loctited up and start putting back together.
about to put the last hose on that goes from throttle body to expansion tank and SNAP!! the plastic pipe breaks.
where do i get this bit and is there a way to get rid of the plastic crap??
could i just use some standard hose instead of the plastic?
thanks guys

Either buy some 8mm heater hose or buy the genuine new part, it lasts 10 years so I am told. Fuel hose goes hard after 1-3 years.
Mate - I used good quality heater hose - it will last a hell of a long time, lot longer than the rubbish hard plastic that broke on mine at year 6.
Cheers
cheers guys
will get some today and fix for good.
