I'd look at the MAF, if you have access to a Nanocom you can check this, readings for it to be working correctly are;
60 to 80 at idle
500 to 600 at 3000rpm under load
Also look at the AAP sensor, it's located on the side of the airbox, give it a clean with carby cleaner or MAF sensor cleaner.
Oil in the injector loom can cause a smokey engine too.
Delaminated intercooler hoses, they can look OK, but can still be stuffed, inspect the inside of the hoses, replace them anyway and get silicon hoses, they allow for better air flow.
Have you wound the turbo wastegate up for more boost, it is a good idea to do this to help it breath more with the bigger chip/remap, this will also reduce smoke as will a larger intercooler and silicon hoses.
The thing is, just getting a power upgrade with a chip or remap isn't where it stops, along with this it is recommended you upgrade your intercooler, and hoses, get an EGR bypass kit, wind the wastegate up on the turbo, do the manifold mod because of the higher EGTs and get an EGT gauge to monitor the EGT temps as they will be hotter.
You need to make the car breath better, this will reduce smoke and EGT temps, it will also make the car go even better.
If you have done all this, then it is probably the file, it may be over fueling.
