When you say most, you mean not all were? Is there a way to check/confirm?

I am fairly sure it is based on vin.

Someone will be along shortly, I hope, to make certain. You could probably ring your local dealer, and ask them to check for you.

Yes based on the VIN (based on year model).

I went to a locksmith in Brisbane about 2 months ago and they have a frequency detector. Not all do but this guy did and they can tell you what frequency your key is.

    Regards
    Andrew

I found and checked the module today and so now at least know for sure that mine is a 433MHz unit:

    Hi twr7cx,
    Just a couple of questions:
Where is this module situated, I'm struggling to work it out from the photo (perhaps the d2 is different to the d2a), and what is it called?
Did you manage to find a new fob?
    Cheers,

I posted this in general chat earlier, but it is probably more fitting here, is it possible to programme a standard ignition key fob to operate the SLS using a Nanocom, if they both operate on the same frequency, should work, no??
Just need to source the green cover
