thanxs mate...will give them a call. But i'm hoping for a kind soul with a nanocom to do it sans commercial rate!
Its pretty simple with Nanocom, probably even easier with Testbook.
It will be under the BCU section in "security" or "programming", just follow the instructions.
As long as the key fob is new with the Barcode tag it should take less than 5 mins.
Before you do it tho, "pop" the current key open and look at the 6 figure code on the chip and make note of it. The reason for this is so you can see what "slot" its currently programmed to when you go to program the new one. It will stop you overwriting it by mistake. NOTE Testbook will show a long code, but "within" that code will be the 6 figure one you noted.
The keys can go in any slot 1 - 4. Keep the current key "out of the car" when testing the new one.
Thanxs Urbanpanzer, P38,
Ok..let me do some homework about how to get this done properly with a Testbook before i drive over.
P38...Whereabouts are you at in western Sydney?
I have a Hawkeye, have programmed a few Td5's PLIP's with it.
Happy to help if u want to come to me
I'm about 1hr's drive from Penrith
Alright p38,
thanxs, i'll try to cut the key on friday and see if i could "swim" across the Nepean sometime this weekend or next week! i'll send u a PM. cheers mate!
Thanxs for the offer Paulie...i'll try to get it done with p38's testbook first and see if we could work it out.
Thanks, Halil, for the opportunity to activate your PLIP.
That was the first one I've done. I hope it continues to work.
Now to find out what the other options on the D2 security page in Testbook do.![]()
