Hey lovemyrangie...you seemed pretty sure it was a cat before, did you change your mind?

You mentioned your 03 D2a had a Cat and you removed it?...does it look anything like this?

    Thanxs in advance mate!

...sigh...i'm beginning to think that the only way i will know for sure is to remove the damn thing and take a look inside. Problem is, i would have to cut it though, as the joining flanges are too far down both ends of the pipes.

I'm also worried of resonant noises if i were to remove the centre muffler. I had a BMW E36 once, that i removed the centre muffler, but had to quickly weld it back as it develop an awfull booming resonant frequency at highway speeds!

Any folks who removed the centre mufler had such issues?

    And batteries......
He can't be an American Ben, he passes the vocal noise pollution commonly associated with them but then he may LOOK like an American so if you get a holesaw the same diameter as his mouth, stick anextension on the end and shove it down inside..... well, you get the general idea....

    Hey all.
I have read about the benefits of removing the cat and center muffler off the TD5.
I am wanting to do the same to my '04 D2a TD5.
My question is, is this legal?
    Regards
    Robbo

Based on the fact that some have come out without it then I'd say that you could. That's he basis of mine on the V8 being removed.

    Hey Cluba,
Did you remove the cats as well as the centre muffler? Is it too loud?
My centre muffler is leaking slightly, so it makes sense to replace it with a pipe if it is worthwhile.
    Cheers,
    Alan
