I'll take some more pics in daylight tomorrow for you that might show it a bit better. From the side view you can't make out the way it really looks

Just a quick question. What happens when you really need to load up the winch on that bar. Are those mounts not going to bend when winching up something serious ?

    Cheers

Thats where all my questions were leading. When the bars loaded up by the winch if the zig zag crushable sections are, well, crushable souldn't it figure they'd be soft enough to straighten under a decent winch load?

Theyr'e rated to a 15000lb winch so i would think they could take a beating before they stretch. Most crush cans won't crush without substantial force being put on them and i bet thats more than 15000lb's of force. i had a commodore that hit a barrier at 80 kms and didnt activate the airbags so how much force would that have been. I'd take a stab in the dark and say that if they rated them for airbags and 15000lb winch then they would have tested extensively before being given approval. I think its about time we got another option here other than the boring ARB bars that are on offer

I can ask them what you want to know as far as Winch questions go, But as far as the bar goes it's been fitted to the car and there just modifing the brackets to bring the bar closer to the front of the car and working on relocating the washer bottle within the engine bay they have told me the new washerbottle will be included with the kit when you purchase it. Will pick it up tomorrow cross fingers and post some pic's up.

You can get a few options for remade ally washer bottles that fit in the same space but are shorter. I'm planning one at the moment to fit around whatever I make up.

I was wondering what would happen with the washer bottle, I'm running without front bumper bar and am worried the washer bottle will crack if a rock or stone hits it. Hey disco_disco good to hear you are picking your rig up tomorrow, I will contact my local OL shop and put a deposit on a bar, they were waiting for yours to be fitted before they would confirm a D2 version. As far as crush cans, I thought all aftermarket bullbars had crush cans, winching is no issue for these other manufacturers.

    Hi all,
just put a deposit on a Xrox bar for my D2, have been told it will be a 4 week wait due to the popularity of the 4wd action deal.
    Cheers Matt
