To me this is the most critical issue when looking at frontal protection and animal strikes. Many new bullbar designs feature upswept tapered wings so it seems to be a trend, and there is many theories to which is best, I have been told of kangaroos that have ended up going over bonnet and into cab of vehicle endangering occupants, when I hit the roo it bounced forwards and then straight under and out. I think if you wanted bulletproof protection against animal strikes for high speed touring you would look at getting a tuffbar like the ones they have on B & S utes.
