The original gaitors are vinyl, you can pick up from spotlight fabric stores, but for the price, just buy the leather ones from the UK ebay.
Not that dear and terrific lasting product. Plus the smell of new leather is more arousing than stinky vinyl vinyl on a hot day

    Hi there,

I got a 3 piece leather set from ebay - one for the handbrake, the gear stick and the hi - lo gear stick.

Shipped from the UK on the same day as I paid. Easy to install and only about $15 incl postage.

Not sure why you'd bother doing it yourself.

    Pic below.

    Good Luck,

    Steph

    Hi All,
Just wanted to say a big thanks for the replies and recommendations.

In the end I decided to visit my second home (Spotlight) and bought myself some vinyl... I think including the double sided tape (from The Warehouse) to make all three perhaps cost in the vacinity of 5.00$ !!!!!!!!!

Yep, cheaper than ebay, yep not quite leather but for $5 shmackeroonies and my time with taking the old ones out, making a pattern, sewing them, fixing them... it's all about the lurve!! (+ its a no brainer & my kids clothes have more stitches LOL)...

I'm absolutely stoked with them. I just need to look at getting the hand brake sorted - think I may need to remove the console there??...and bobs my uncle (altho he doesn't realy exist LOL)... and my hubby is that impressed he wants some for his FJ40!

    Anyhooo... pics attached.

    Cheers
    Lp

Just keep going through the posts and look for the ones I have posted and keep clicking the links which then leads to the Ebay page and then go to the store promoted on Ebay. (Top Gaiters)

Or just click below (the site caters for a heap of cars)

Lp, you must really love sewing and visiting Spotlight.
