put it on gas and your laughing,,

check for head gasket leaks, look for orange stains UNDER the engine,,
look for valley cover gasket leaks on the back of the block,,
service history is important,,
lots of threads on these things,,

If you look around there are plenty of good td5's for way under $28000. Got mine with 115k on the clock last year for $22000 It's a well looked after 2004 with a nice selection of accessories on it. But that HSE v8 looks good too!

I just picked up a td5 here in Perth with less than 90k on the clock, 7 seats, leather, 18" rims with good tyres etc etc for a lot less than 28k, and its a lot harder to get them over here than on the east coast. a lot more options over there. Be even worth ducking down to Vic to get one. Seems to be heaps there..... Lots of toorak tractors just waiting to go North to the Gold Coast for some sunshine.

before anyone puts their ten cents worth in, i dont personally believe all victorians who have Discos are toorak tractors.

28k for that v8 is ridiculous

16k would be about ball park imo (thats what we paid for an 03, 1 owner, FSH, v8 with 96k km on it and some extras (sahara bar / warn winch / safari snorkle / etc etc))

no the green ones 24K from a dealer,,
so anywhere around 21 would be fine for a HSE,,

My TD5 cost 20K with 70000kms ... they're out there, just keep looking!
