    Aftermarket window regulators?

    Hi all,
    I need to replace my LH front window regulator as the nylon roller has broken. I have read the tutorials but I can't be bothered at this stage fiddling around trying to repair the broken part (if I replace I might have a go as a spare). I am looking at buying a regulator from UK to save some coin but the postage prices vary from 20-45 pounds, the later price is postage for genuine the cheaper are for aftermarket items. I am wondering what everyones thoughts are in regard to aftermarket items? It seems that most retailers in UK only stock aftermarket, or they charge heaps in postage (45 pounds is way too much). My experience with aftermarket items on other vehicles is fairly poor, I would prefer genuine but haven't found a retailer that won't sting me for postage.

    Go aftermarket.

    I bought a aftermarket regulator also for the front left and replaced it. When replacing it I took a close looked at it to see if it was inferior and the only difference was there wasn't a oval Land Rover stamp on it.

    It was identical in everyway other than the stamp. No hesitation buying aftermarket. Bought mine from Britcar-UK. (I think it was $25 or something around this). If you really want genuine they also have them at a very competitive price, cheapest I've seen anyway. Britcar use Royal Mail so check this website for a postage quote and use the information from the Britcar site to work the price. The Britcar site has the dimensions and weight of the item on their site along with the price.

    replaced my lh front with a aftermarket one from karcraft in sydney, seemed ok in comparison. around AU$70.00
    just one minor issue since and that is the window does not stop when it gets to the bottom, seems like a switch or sensor is kaput so have to investigate more.
