Bloody nice work mate!
If you develop a kit, I hope you don't get left out in the cold, like the Airbag kits.
Cheers, Dave.
Well its been a while, tossed up between grafting an A frame or keeping the Watts link and using another system.
So settled for keeping the watts and designed a 3 link, I also modded the watts so there would be no issues with the extra travel and articulation.
The new Trailing links are crombe moly and a center Heim joint.
The system is smooth and works fantastic with no bush bind or strain.
Pics below.
In the pic of the car articulating, these are 37 in tyres which the sliders were well above the Tyre and the flex had more to go.
This system can bolt on and off quickly with the original arms fitted back on.I ran things past an engineer, time to get it ticked off![]()

time to make the front work now,,, thats sick
very interesting indeed! looks like a cheap and simple solution too. Any pics of the hole vehicle on flex? Getting the front end to work with it will be another issue :| Im keen to see it ramped to see how the car behaves
Have you seen the currie joints? Similar to a heim but bigger and have a poly bush in them so i would imagine last a bit longer on the road. And totally greasable and rebuildable in about 5mins flat.
Are they fox 2.0's i see in there too?
Yes, more body roll again as there is no resistance from the trailing arm bushes. there was resistance with the originals, does handle well, I will fab up some disconnects for it i think
Aahh, I did work on the front quite a while ago, I will try to dig up some pics
This heim joint is big and is used in alot of off rd competition trucks, there wont be an issue.
The shocks work great too![]()
Love it! I vote more pics![]()
Not doubting its strength more about it being driven on road everyday and flogging out. The comp trucks have the luxury of going oh damn it broke put it on the trailer, or throw this spare one in there. This is not the case in the woolies car park
The fox are the emulsions i take it? I cant see any resevoirs. What length are they and did you change the upper mounts? Also how did you get them in blue i could only get black
Also do you have your rear springs retained top and bottom?
