    Removing a Prodigy brake controller

    Hi,
I'm looking to remove the Prodigy brake controller from my V8 D2.

If I just disconnect/cut any wires leading to the controller am I going to course any malfunctions or set of any faults? I was going to follow each wire as far as I could before cutting them

No issues just follow along and cut. Make sure you insulate every joint. Best to disconnect battery first though...

    Hi Gullible,
The Prodigy controller has an electrical connector that plugs into the back of the controller, just disconnect the unit and remove it, leave the connector behind the dash somewhere cable tied to something solid. One goes to your brake pedal, the white one I think, the blue one goes down the back to the trailer electric pin and the red one is connected to an ignition source.
As Justin said, make sure you insulate the ends if you actually want to remove the wires.... not sure exactly why if you just disconnect the head unit..
    Cheers Marty
