If you're not confident to replace the glass yourself, get a mobile fitter to do the job for you. Should be $100 maximum.
On my recent trip a stone bounced off the trailer and smashed the tailgate window of my D2.(as well as blowing a trans cooler swage cons in the middle of nowhere! 4.5 hour Tow to Alice on truck! And 9days to repair)
Quoted approx $950 for LR new replacement of original green tint.
I have sourced a replacement 2nd hand at $350 including new stop light and seal rubberbut am looking for any tips/how to instructions for the best way to fit the replacement glass?
I have not replaced a window like this before.
Thanks in advance.

If he needs it let him have it, I was only grabbing a spare. Not a needed part.

Just to finish off the post.
I followed the suggested techniquie in the rave cd workshop manual
i.e. lubricate the rubber door seal groove with liquid soap and use a "draw string" in that groove around seal to pull the seal into place.
worked like a treat easy peasy
cheers all
