    AMC TD5 cylinder heads

I'm fairly certain I have cracked fuel galleries on my TD5, the injector rings & washer change has not cured my rising sump oil problem. My TD5 has 195,000 on the clock and runs like a dream except that it's making oil (2 liters per 600ks)

So it seems the best option is order a new head from Turner.

I'm am after some opinions and experiences relating to the AMC product. It seems the only negative comments have come from people trying to sell there reconditioned heads and prices of these are greater than an after market one.

Has anyone got anything good or bad to say about the AMC heads?

I spoke to them and they only deal with certified used heads. Wish you luck with your new head, How many Ks have you had in on for?

0! Should have it started tomorrow. TRS warranty gives me some comfort. They reckon the AMC head has cheapo valves, springs etc and poor casting in the inlet and exhaust runners. I have no idea if it is correct or not and having had only one comment about an after market head of "seems to be ok" didn't inspire me greatly to be a trial subject. I have to admit to being one of those people who don't always believe that, just because something works, doesn't mean it equates to being good.
Time will tell if i have chosen the best option.

    Cheers

I don't think a injector or 2 would leak as much as 2ltrs over a distance of 500ks but I could be wrong.
