    On the topic of CC...

Why is a 2010 Mondeo wont slow you down yet a 2001 Disco will?

Is it to do with the hill decent? Ie. the sensors are already there, so they know when to kick in etc?

    It's my only assumption

Collins, what exactly did you replace? I replaced the vacuum hose but I am still having issues.

    Trippy,
I replaced the entire unit in the engine bay - vacuum pump, diaphragm, actuator cable
The assembly is easily removed, three 8mm (may be smaller) flanged nuts accessible from under guard OS front.
I found that my vacuum pump was not working.
