This morning I had enough and did the shuttle valve wiring mod.

I reset the fault code with the hawkeye and went for a long drive.
I think those 3 amigos have got the irrits with me and left home to go and annoy someone else with a D2. The sun ashone through the clouds today and I'm sure I saw them being beamed up towards the light.
    RIP 3 Amigos
I implemented option b lst weekend and have had a week of no amigo's. It's funny, I've had am for so long I almost miss them (almost not!)

Now to attend to that faulty rear door lock - just when you think it's all sorted and there's nothing more to fix........

My 3 little friends have gone too!!

I did the option B on the weekend and (crossed fingers) seems to have solved the 3 amigos problem (Fault 114).

I was wondering though....I unbolted the allen keys etc on the engine side of the modulator...but it looks like I could have left these alone and just undone the 3 rubber mount bolts, shifted the modulator upward a bit and gone straight underneath to the 3 allen key bolts that hold the SVS? Is this right?

    Cheers

    Willis,

That is correct, all I did was undo the three hex bolts that hold the shuttle valves in - a bit fiddly but very doable.

    Yep that's all I did.
Unbolt and remove rubber mounts, free the brake lines by unclipping from the body retainer clips, gently raise the modulator and undo the 3 size 4 allen key bolts, remove shuttle valve assemble. Do the mod to wiring and reinstall.

All this enthusiasm for getting rid of the friendly trio got me going and I did my option b this arvo. sick of 114 errors and the lights like everyone else.

I'm no mechanic by any stretch but the fantastic tutorial for option B
and the success stories gave me the confidence to have a crack.

I found fiddling around underneath the modulator to undo the three hex screws to be too painful.

Disconnected the pipes and rubber shocks and wiring, did the fix on the bench and put her all back together, did a manual bleed and a nanocom modulator bleed and bob's yer uncle. Took longer of course but less tricky stuff and boy were those hex nuts in tight!

ABS's, Crawls down hill and tractions up em.

I'm one happy D2 owner for now.

Thanks to all the knowledgeable who give guys like me the confidence to get stuck in.

    Cheers
