    d2 front rhs door lock problem

    Have an odd problem with the central locking, which happened very suddenly- the front rhs door won't unlock with either central locking or with the key, though it sometimes locks with the remote, and always locks with the key. This makes me think the actuator is ok, because it works at times- seems like the problem is elsewhere in the whole mechanism? Pulled the trim off and poked around, couldn't see much wrong. At the moment I have to unlock the car, and open the driver's door with the inside latch. At least my window regulator has broken at the same time so I can fix both hopefully...

    Pretty sure it's the door latch (what you are calling the actuator).

    I had the same problem with regards to the regulator and latch both biting the dust at the same time but on the LHS. (can't recall whether the central locking button made a difference but pretty sure you had to press it something like 6 - 12 times before the lock went up).
