    Huh?
    I'm a bit confused.
    I thought OEM means genuine.
OEM in this case being the manufacturer of the part Land Rover bought to install in their product. How can that not mean genuine?
I understand the part maybe badged differently, but it is exactly the same part, isn't it?

I installed a Brit Part Engine mount on the RHS and had to take it out immediately. It looked the same as a genuine however i cannot explain how harsh the vibration was running through the car installed genuine and it is fantastic. I had not ever seen an engine mount till owning this car, for the novice it is hard to pick, now that i have seen what they are supposed to look like it is easy to pick that my mount was knackered. My symptons where a harsh vibration when stationery and in cold temps as the mount warmed up and i assume the liquid inside expanded the problem went away. With the new genuine mount it is smooth all the time.

Bought it from British Offroad, they called it OEM. They had two choices for me, Geniune or OEM. They install the "OEM" mounts on customer cars themselves with no complaints. It had Landrover stamped on it but it was cheaper than genuine by about 40 bucks. I can't recall where but I'm sure it was made in some other country. I've had no problems so far, it has smoothed things out concerning the engine beautifully. It makes me a little cranky that last year I had both mounts changed on the wifes car by a Indi repairer, both genuine mounts put in and the whole thing cost a small fortune for the same result I've got now. That's why I went this way this time to save money on repairs to an older car.

I have known for couple of years that the Engine mount on my '99 D2 needed replacing and finally got the job done yesterday. The difference in driveline vibration reduction is significant ie, none now... the 105klm/hr vibration is now totally gone.

I used genuine LR. Very happy. But cannot say if non-genuine would have been any less effective...

Sorry mate for the late reply but I justy read your post.
If u want any part cheaper/good quality than everywhere else, just check here Land Rover 90-110 & Defender Car Parts - Land Rover 90-110 & Defender Spares: Rimmerbros.co.uk to find the part number (as they show also the picture and the year/VIN number), and then go here Land Rover Spares and Parts Direct digit the part number and select the manifacturer (for your knowledge: Britpart is the worst, Allmakes is good as Bearmach, but Bearmach seams to be the best).
If you buy from LR direct u will receive the parts within 1 or 1.5 weeks. check it out, u'll see it is convenient.

If you have ACE, before spending the money on mounts, check for pebbles between the valve block and the chassis rail.
