    plastic windscreen cover["A" pillar trim]

My drivers side windscreen cover for my 1999 D2 [the plastic bit that goes from the top of the screen to just under the hood, is no more. I've looked in the market section, under" wrecking", but no joy. If anyone has an idea where I might get a 2nd hand black one, I would be most appreciative. Thanking you, Bob

Let me start by saying they are a very average design.

I just bought two new ones from the UK for about $60 each. Not sure what the dealer sells them for. Don't think they are in any other colour than black.

The wrecker may have some good ones but the clips and moulding etc that hold them on are almost designed as if they are 'use once and throw away'.

    Regards
    Andrew

G'Day. Mine blew off whilst traversing NT on the Ghan ; /
Surprised they didn't inflict more damage. 25min to reverse it off (ooh, it had a camper trailer on, really hard) Didn't even select Low!?!

Well as a matter of fact, i am getting a new windscreen put in tomorrow apparently with new 'side bits'... Once i pick up the vehicle i'll ask for the old ones back. I'll make contact then....

I had to replace my driver's side trim. Got it from Karcraft in Sydney but can't remember how much. I generally find the difference from o/s supply and Karcraft is not worth the wait or risk.

I agree with Andrew D, a very average design. I found it very tricky to install. Once on, removing will likely break off the lugs on the trim to which the clips are connected, so be careful.

This is where I bought the part (and buy generally everything) for the Disco. Britcar (UK) Ltd.

I generally build up a decent list first before proceeding with the purchase.

Generally everything is half the Australian price. You can chose from genuinie or aftermarket parts. Considering everything is half the price I pay in Australia I go for all genuine parts.

My last order was for roughly $750 worth which in Australia would be something closer to $1500+.

If MR LSD is selling them (new & genuine part) for $58 that's a very good price.

    Regards
    Andrew
